Wedding Celebration in Tarporley, Cheshire for 150 guests (inital design)
The above design was an initial plan created for a wedding in Tarporley for 150 guests,
- A reception tent was built within the garden of the family's house, the connecting walkway then lead through a hedge in to a neighbouring field where the rest of the marquee was built. this was done so the guests can enjoy a drinks reception within a beautiful garden yet still have ample space for dining and dancing for all 150 guests.
- The reception marquee is a 12m wide x 12m long clearspan design with the entrance centralised on one gable end looking directly upon the bar on the opposite gable end. In between bar furniture such as poseur tables and soft sofas where dotted about for guests to use. The two walls on hedges sides were all windows to take advantage of the families garden and for extra light.
- From this leads a 3m x 3m connecting walkway that was fully lined and had gutters either sides to protect from rain. This lead in to a impressive 12m wide x 24m long main marquee, with the black & white chequered dance floor under the starlight lining on the far side and the dining tables in between this and the connecting walkway.
- The bride had opted for a long top table to look on to the rest of the guests, on the opposite side of the marquee was a wall of windows taking full advantage of the rolling countryside scenery.
- One luxury of this marquee was the toilets that were built inside the marquee. As the wedding took place in early spring the client decided to keep the guests warm by having the toilets inside the marquee. To do this the toilets were positioned mid-construction allowing the marquee to be finished to the usual high standard whilst having a trailer toilet positioned within it. The guests could access the toilet marquee through a partition in the linings in the corner of the main marquee.
- As mentioned this wedding was earlier spring, so naturally the marquee was fully heated, 3 large gas heaters were installed at strategic points around the marquee to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the day. These gas heaters are very efficient and can be controlled using a thermostat making them excellently suited for such events.
