Flooring

Flooring is vitally important to the sucess of any event, something not to be skimped on and always throughly considered. The are various options of flooring depending on ground condidtions, predicted weather and your intedend budget.

Flooring usually consists of 2 layers. The hard structure underneath and the visable finishing layer on top. WIth both layer there are several options available

Steel sub flooring with timber boarding

Metal extrusion is laid which can be packed to create a leveled surfaced. Timber boards are then inserted between the metal extrusion. This brings the floor higher off the ground and it can therefore be used to level nearly any ground except those that have very steep slopes. The steel sub flooring allows the option of decking to be used in entrance areas. Carpet is then laid on top of the flooring within the marquee. A raised sub floor will always offer a much higher finish than a interlocking flooring, virtually all field sites would require a raised floor to achieve a decent standard. This is our prefered flooring choice for any event.

Boarded Interlocking flooring

The most common option and also the cheapest. This comes in 2ft x 8ft & 2ft x 4ft boards, they are laid interlocking like brick work and then the carpet or matting is secured on top. Our interlocking is not designed to ever be on show, but as a base for which carpet or matting can be laid on top of. This structure provides a hard surface but will still follow the contours of the ground.

This is normally a needed item unless the marquee is to be erected on a perfectly flat surface polo field or cricket green. For the top finishing layer there are two options availabe:

Carpet

All our resin cord carpet is brought in new specifically for your event. This allows you to choose the type and colour to match themes and style for your event. The carpet will be measured and laid securely within your marquee and we are happy to include carpeting for any pathways or access doors you wish, the carpet always has a perfect finish and is the best quality option available. This is always the prefered option for any event

Synthetic Matting

We offer a reusable synthetic matting as an alternative to the carpet. This is laid in 2 meter strips and can be fasten down with nail, staples or glue, depending on the surface beneath. Though it is a more cost effective alternative, when laid properly it has an excellent finish and is suitable for any event.
